Payment Reporting Fix
A bug was fixed in the reporting of invoice payments being made. Customers were seeing a confirmation such as "Successfully charged credit card $0.00 and marked 1 invoice paid".
This bug only affected payment confirmation messages. All invoice payments otherwise shown as successful have been made for the proper amount with credit card merchants and all invoices were marked paid for the proper amounts.
Corduroy Outage
All Corduroy sites are currently down. We are working on bringing the sites back up as soon as possible and will update this entry when everything is back to normal.
Update: As of 16:28 CST, all Corduroy sites are back up.
Bill Expense Categories
Happy New Year! A recent change has been made in Corduroy that makes it easier to keep track of your bills. When entering a new bill or editing an existing one, a new category drop-down will allow you to place the bill in an expense category. This category ID will follow the bill, its check, and then the check's bank account transaction.
When a check is written for a bill and sent out, then clears your checking account and is matched in your daily account transaction fetch, the category drop-down will now default to choosing the category you selected for the bill when it was entered. This change will make importing new transactions quicker and eliminate the need to remember or lookup what a check was written for.

Audit Logging
Corduroy now features event logging for all actions performed through the site by users and by automated recurring actions that run nightly. Failed login attempts are also logged to aid in troubleshooting.
These logs can be viewed only by administrators logged into a Corduroy site by navigating to the Admin tab, then "View Audit Logs". Events have been logging since the beginning of October.
In addition to a timestamp, user name, access level, and the event text, an IP address is shown for non-system events. If an unusual IP address has logged into a staff account, you may wish to contact the user and/or change its password.

More New Features
In response to more customer requests, two new features have been added to Corduroy:
- Projects may now be marked private which will prevent them from being seen by the project's customers while logged into your Corduroy site.
- Customer user accounts are now easier to create with Random Password and E-Mail functions, allowing you to easily assign a temporary, random password for a user and then automatically e-mail a welcome mesage to the user with their login credentials.

Search and Other New Features
Corduroy has had a few new features added recently:
- The biggest change is a new Search feature that lets you quickly look through all of your data and find just what you need. The Search tab is available on every screen to logged-in staff users.
- Corduroy now features some basic Reports to provide you with trends and breakdowns of account balances, category totals, and spending distribution among categories. More reports will be added in the near future, so if you have any requests, please feel free to request them.
- The next invoice number is now changeable from the Administration panel. This is useful for new Corduroy sites that want to continue where their old invoice numbers left off, or if you just want to skip a few hundred invoices instead of starting from 1.
- In response to customer requests, Invoices now include a Customer Reference field to note the customer’s PO number, job number, or whatever you need. Of course, this field is searchable with the new Search functionality.
- New Corduroy sites are created with some basic account transaction categories to get you started.
