Percentage-based Services
Percentage-based services for invoice line-items and recurring services are now supported in Corduroy. These types of services are well suited for adding a discount to an invoice (by adding a negative percentage-based service) or adding taxes (by adding a positive percentage-based service).
All percentage-based services will be shown on and applied to invoices after all other line-items, and in the case of multiple percentage-based services, will be applied in the order they were created.
For example, assume an invoice has two line-items, each for $50. A third line-item is added and a previously-created percentage-based service (such as "DISCOUNT-15") is selected for it. This service has a default rate of -15%. When the invoice is created, it will have a total of $85. If the invoice is edited and a fourth line-item is added for $25, the discount will still be applied at the end, so the total becomes $106.25.
